CNC Punch Press Operator ( Turret) - $22.00 to $25.00 p/h DOE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Maintain a safe work environment (i.e., use of personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, etc.).
- Understands all safety aspects of the machine.
- Gain knowledge and inspection practice to ensure conformance to quality department specifications. Follow inspection instructions in the Lynchburg Control Plan.
- Inform management or leads of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
- Start up and stop equipment.
- Perform daily Preventive Maintenance on the machine.
- Perform routine operations related to the punch machine.
- Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment.
- Clean the production area (sweep, mop, and remove debris).
- Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
- Ensure conformance to specifications.
- Mark parts for identification.
- Place parts on a proper item for processing at the next step (Tote, Table, Pallet, etc..)
- Scrape waste material from the machine.
- Read and interpret gauges.
- Record data.
- Use Epicor ERP to log into and out of jobs.
- Take instructions from the management/supervisory personnel.
- Work from routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, blueprints, visual aids, or other instructions to manufacture products at required quality levels.
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams.
- Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
